Toyota Expands Its Electric Vehicle Range with the New bZ4X Touring
Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) has expanded its local electric vehicle (EV) range with the launch of the new Toyota bZ4X Touring, offering motorists a larger, more powerful battery-electric SUV with increased performance and driving range.
A More Capable Electric SUV
The new bZ4X Touring builds on Toyota's existing electric vehicle offering, featuring a larger 74.69kWh battery capable of delivering an estimated driving range of between 462km and 487km on a full charge.
Designed for motorists seeking additional practicality, the Touring shares the same 2,850mm wheelbase as the standard bZ4X but is longer, taller and offers increased ground clearance, making it better suited to a variety of driving conditions.
More Power and Performance
The bZ4X Touring is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 334kW of power and 537Nm of torque.
This enables the electric SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.3 seconds, while reaching a top speed of 180km/h, making it one of Toyota's fastest production vehicles currently available in South Africa.
