Renault Ships First India-Built Duster Models to South Africa

Renault India has shipped the first batch of new Duster SUVs destined for South Africa, marking the beginning of exports from its manufacturing facility in Chennai and a shift away from Romania-built models.

First Shipment Leaves Chennai

The first shipment consists of 750 Duster vehicles, forming part of Renault India's export programme for the new-generation Duster.

According to Renault Group India, the export programme represents an important milestone for the company's operations in Chennai.

During the loading of the export vehicles, Renault Group India CEO Stephane Deblaise said the start of exports validates the quality, capability and competitiveness of the company's operations in Chennai.
