Audi Unveils the Nuvolari – Its Most Powerful Production Car Yet
Audi has revealed the Nuvolari, a limited-production hybrid supercar that will become the most powerful production vehicle ever built by the German manufacturer.
Production will be limited to 499 units, with the model expected to debut during the first half of 2027.
Honouring a Motorsport Legend
The Nuvolari is named after legendary racing driver Tazio Nuvolari, who achieved multiple Grand Prix victories driving for Auto Union, one of Audi's predecessor brands, during the 1930s.
Hybrid Performance
The Audi Nuvolari combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with three axial-flux electric motors.
Together, the hybrid system delivers a combined output of 738kW. According to Audi, this enables the supercar to accelerate from:
· 0–100 km/h in 2.6 seconds
· 0–200 km/h in 6.8 seconds
The V8 engine alone produces 588kW and 730Nm while revving to 10,000rpm.
South African Availability
Audi has not confirmed whether any of the 499 production vehicles will be allocated to South Africa, and pricing has not been announced.
